4. offer decent working conditions for employees and employees of contractors, in accordancewith the highest standards of quality;
5. protect the health, safety and integrity of persons with regard to the risks and impacts of its activities, operations and services: employees, employees of contractors and business partners who work on its premises or on its behalf, and other interested parties potentially affected by such risks and impacts;
6. require that contractors and business partners commit to performance standards similar to those that it adopts in their activities, products and services;
7. maintain a relationship based on transparency and credibility, in order to promote engagement with its stakeholders;
8. identify and manage the positive and negative impacts on the environment and on people, and enable the efficient use of natural resources, seeking to use best market practices;
9. contribute to the protection of biodiversity and responsibly manage its impacts on the same;
10. efficiently manage atmospheric emissions from its activities and invest in research and development of new technologies and processes for the control of these emissions;
11. promote sustainable local development in the regions where it operates, in partnership with stakeholders, through the adoption and dissemination of management practices and governance of the areas incorporating the integration of social, environmental, economic and cultural aspects;
12. promote education, training and awareness on the part of employees and employees of contractors with respect to social and environmental issues, health and safety;
13. seek continuous improvement in its sustainability performance;
14. defineand periodically review this Policy and the Management System for Sustainability.
