The Sudeste System is composed of the Serra Azul and BomSucesso Units, both in Minas Gerais. At present, MMX plans to invest in the expansion of the Serra Azul Unit and deploy the the Bom Sucesso Unit.
To move the production of the Sudeste System, MMX will use the MRS railroad to carry iron ore to the CSN Port in Itaguaí (RJ). As from 2013, the company will use the Sudeste Superport, a Mixed-use Private Port Terminal, which the company is building in Itaguaí.
